gdy ssg: Today another day has jus began and our grp is sailing smoothly, many bugs has been fixed yesterday, and today the poster and the CD packaging has been completed. The poster design was actually completed but the size was not in A2 format, as it was a A3 size format in photoshop, we were not able to resize it, so a new design was done. Our project storyline has made many changes since the first one we made, due to it Herman is now doing the project proposal. Doreen is now doing the flowchart and storyboard for the project, while sheryl is now makes changes to the present wrapping scene, later in the day, we will be printing our poster, CD cover and flowchart.

Momentous Event

Sheryl: It seems a pretty momentous day today..we got the full application up and working! Just a few small things to clean up and we've got to complete the poster and packaging, as well as the final flowchart and storyboard. The website is nearly complete as well thanks to the super work speed of Boss.

Finally..the holidays are actually in sight!!!!!!!!!!! We all cannot wait (except Herman).

Sheryl: Man..so fast near 3 weeks already! We mostly did coding today..lots and lots of things need debugging although we've managed to get most of the scenes up over the weekend.

The leftover scenes we managed to get the main codes out, with tiny errors and annoyances here and there we'll need to clean up. Right now as it is the application is extremely messy. Doreen and I were mostly working on the 2 leftover scenes today while Herman did more animation that we needed, and he and Lian Wei both did lots of debugging of the application. Everyone seemed ready to pull their hair out ha!

And I agree with the rest about the co-operativeness and voluntary snatching-up-work of the group..extremely enjoyable working as such! See you tomorrow.

doreen: Met up today at Ang Mo Kio library at two to discuss further about our IMPJ... Discuss about the clothes shop, ending and assigning the rest of the work to individual. (hmmmz...one thing good about our group is that everyone is snatching to do something, which we think is something good, instead of slacking and pushing the job then in the end get the credits...)

We did the mockup of our website already and the poster too... so the rest of the week, we shall do some improvements of the not so good stuff, debugging and the packaging...

Finally is the last week already... Everyone lets gambatte and give our best shots!!!

Hs: One more week before the holidays. We've come a long way as a Group. I took some time to reflect on the time we spent together as a group and realise a Big Thank You for the group was due.

I am very thankful for my hardworking group. Everyone is very cooperative and responsible. They have no qualms about working overtime and getting things done in a hurry. What we as a group might lack in skills we make up for with sheer determination and an iron will to succeed.

So thank you Majority Report.

Doreen: Still haven't rob bank for me.

Sherly: Macromedia Director is her new best friend.

Lian Wei: Thinking of moving to Mainland Singapore next year.

doreen: was doing director the whole day today... morning came to school, redo the dispenser cause the size was wrong then later in the afternoon, did the bug cleaning for the plant. Manage to do three, then later our leader wants me to do 2 more... cause like not enough then later on, they finally found a good and nice solution when i was going to finish... it was like -_-!!!

doreen: YEAH!!! Thursday already... tomorrow friday and we are left with one more week then can holiday already. So happy man... This week Majority Report did quite a lot of things... but still hope we can finish on time... Everyday when we're going home, our group leader Herman will always say somethings funny to make us laugh... so on the way home its still a good one...

Basically, we did director most of the time today. Just a little bit of flash editing and graphics editing. Some of the scripts were really hard. Had to approach Mr choong and Miss Ng. Thank you.

Murder Codes

Sheryl: Codes are annoying! Staring at a few lines and editing them for a long time and either it still doesn't work or it works (a few short lines of text for such a long period of time!). Anyway, we'll get them all out no matter what. Quite fun in a masochistic sort of way.

Presentation was alright today..still have a long way to go though with all that scripting. Lecturers didn't seem too satisfied with our works. Got Mr. Chin Koon for our supervisor....

What we did today : Attempting to finish scripting the park; Some dabbling in the scripts for the shopping centre; Changed the jogging scene; More nosing in codes.

Finally its the second week of studio project, first week was quite tiring... rushing of all the graphics, storyboards, getting approval in order to start work. Lucky there is something called the "weekend" to let us rest well and get us going. Xiu xi shi wei le zhou gen change de lu...

Monday: it is just the same as the first week. Rushing of graphics, flash, director, most importantly doing the main hub and the sub page for Wednesday presentation. *Hope nothing will go wrong.* Doreen went to borrow the Lingo Programmer Reference with 8613 to help us in our director. Sheryl also did some research on the internet to find out more about Director script.

Tuesday: It is still the same as before... just that our graphics are 99% completed... the 1%... for in case we forgotten to do anything.

HS: Graphics were animated and a few new objects were created, we manage to do enough for sheryl to put a main page together and it works nicely. Doreen had to print the work log 2 times which made Lian Wei feel guilty because Doreen needed to run up and down to get it printed.

Weekend Encounters

Sheryl: Met up on sunday at Ang Mo Kio library to discuss our project further. We came up with same activities for interaction in our 3 different environments. We decided to let the user simply interact with 1 or 2 items within each enviironment, and the rest will just be presented by animation with rollovers or clickable, or the scripting might be insanity. Let's see what the lecturers have to say or suggest today. Perhaps some brilliiant insights may bloom from the roots planted inside.

What we covered today : More illustration and graphics, trying to piece all of it together and improving on them. We need to come up with a cooler storyline with cooler objectives and aims..Eric said it was too boring.

HS: Don't know how our group is faring really... are we fast, or are we lagging behind, is our design easily executable or will it be alot of work to do. I think we're being delayed for too long in the preliminary stage and it makes us unable to get anything substantial done... feel like we're trapped forever in the draft stage and even when given the go ahead, another teacher will come along and place us back at the very very beggining again. My only consolation in IMMPJ is that I am not in it alone.

Presentation Day

Did our presentation on the storyboard, mock-ups and flowchart..We apparently left one storyboard out on a different way of navigation..so we are going to redo it now. We wonder if our new navigation and storyboard is 'correct'..Ms. Coen gave the green light. *cross fingers* We are tired of changing it so many times.

We also did some graphics for our application..everyone shared the load. Wonder when we'll finish the actual thing..the holidays seem like a great distance away. (How nice it would be if it were 2 months instead! :D)

We are all falling sick soon (since like last few weeks til now we've had to keep rushing our work). Lots of coffee and burning of midnight oil..think we're running out of oil soon.

Status Report

HS: Finally got something to be approved. I can only pray to the greater powers above that our project won't be hell to do cause it sounds quite complicated. Here's the down and dirty on our Project: There are 3 envitonments in the application, the Mall, School, and the Park. Theyre set in Singapore 2050. The user takes on the role of a shopper, teacher and gardener respectively to interact and explore their environments. Users can click on objects to animate them (hopefully animating them wont be hell). There will be two ways of navigation in this application, the first being a first person view whenever the user in is the place itself and a top down view whenever the users moving from one environment to another.

Gdyssg: yay, grp came up with many weird futuristic gadgets...cool. Now Sheryl and Doreen is putting in all the concepts into the flowcharts. Herman and me now discussing the storyboard for tml. Concept Rejections

All the hard work and effort put into the proposal and storyboards were rejected. Our brains feel fried trying to come up with new concepts pleasing to the lecturers' eyes. we hope to accomplish something constructive by the end of the day and be able to concentrate on the storyboards and flowcharts fully tomorrow. As well as begin photo-taking and picture treatment as soon as possible.
